  I’m not usually one to write reviews (let alone bad ones) but I was flicking through some wedding photos recently and couldn’t help but be disappointed as I looked back on the flowers. Sonning flowers was recommended by our venue and we chose to go with them after meeting one of the ladies at an open day. We never seemed to manage to speak to the same person twice and resorted to emailing our requests/changes during the lead up. We had a winter wedding and had requested ‘wintery’ flowers, we had agreed on the flower types, the number and type of arrangements and the colour scheme (example photos provided). All except the latter were well delivered however we ended up receiving very spring-like flowers including peach roses instead of white. The arrangements were also somewhat small given the cost! Given there’s little you can do to change your flowers on the day of your wedding, I would urge all prospective brides and grooms to meet with your florist a couple of times in the lead up to ensure there are no crossed wires. Sonning flowers have a great reputation in the wedding flower industry but unfortunately, on this occasion, they fell somewhat short.
